NAME
     tod - print out a message germane to the current time of day

SYNOPSIS
     tod [ hour ]

DESCRIPTION
     _T_o_d prints out a greeting depending on the current time of
     day.  If the optional _h_o_u_r argument is given, then _t_o_d will
     pretend that it is that hour of the day.

     _T_o_d is useful for running in an automatic login file.

BUGS
     _T_o_d has programmed into it one person's idea of appropriate
     comments for different times of day.  This perception seems
     to vary from person to person.
