NAME
     getpw - get name from UID

SYNOPSIS
     getpw(uid, buf)
     char *buf;

DESCRIPTION
     _G_e_t_p_w searches the password file for the (numerical) _u_i_d,
     and fills in _b_u_f with the corresponding line; it returns
     non-zero if _u_i_d could not be found.  The line is null-
     terminated.
